PureHit — Privacy Policy

PureHit (the “app”) is a cricket model-prediction app operated by an independent developer based in India. This page explains, in plain language, what data the app handles and how.

1. We do not collect personal information

The app does not ask you to sign up, sign in, or enter any personal information such as your name, email address, phone number, address, or date of birth. There is no account to create.

2. What we do store

The app stores only the bare minimum needed to deliver alerts:

• A random device identifier. When you first open the app, your phone generates a random string (e.g. “a3f9c1b2…”) that we use to remember which alerts you have already seen and your notification preferences. It is not linked to your identity or device hardware.
• Your push notification token. If you allow notifications, your phone gives us a token so we can deliver cricket alerts to it. This token is issued by Google / Apple and identifies the install of the app on your device, not you.
• Your in-app preferences. Language choice, Do Not Disturb setting, and whether notifications are enabled.

These are stored on our server, attached only to the random device identifier above.

3. We do not share data

We do not sell or share your data with advertisers, analytics providers, or third parties. Push notifications are delivered via Google’s Firebase Cloud Messaging service (a standard part of Android); this is the only third party in the data path, and they handle delivery only.

4. Deleting your data

The app includes a “Clear my data” option in Settings. Tapping it deletes the device identifier, the push token, and the preferences associated with your install. After that, the app behaves as if freshly installed. There is no way for us to recover the data afterwards.

5. Cricket data sources

Match scores and statistics shown in the app come from public cricket data providers and from the Cricsheet open archive. The model predictions are generated by us and are provided for informational purposes only.

6. Children

The app is intended for users aged 13 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

7. Security

All communication between the app and our server uses HTTPS. Our server is hosted on Hetzner’s German infrastructure with standard operating-system access controls.

8. Changes to this policy

If we change anything about how the app handles data, we will update this page and update the effective date above. For material changes we will also surface a notice inside the app on next launch.
